Critiquing Photo Challenge

rklaben

  1. This photograph, taken in my backyard, stands out as my most successful capture for this challenge. The iridescence of the pool tiles beautifully blends various shades of red and green, rendering the photo aesthetically evaluative. The image exudes a serene and pure bliss ambiance. One of the challenges encountered during this task was identifying a theoretical photograph, as many such images tend to overlap with ethical evaluation or fall into the category of interpretive photography. To enhance the strength of future images, I plan to concentrate on lighting aspects when capturing a photograph. Exploring different angles of lighting hitting an object will be a focal point, allowing for a more dynamic and visually compelling composition in subsequent endeavors.

This photo is exceptionally aesthetically pleasing, capturing the viewer's attention with the captivating color of the water, evoking a sense of tranquility and pure bliss. The angle at which the photograph was taken expertly showcases the various shades of blue present, seamlessly transitioning from the sky to the water. The mountains in the background enhance the tropical hue of the water, creating an overall serene atmosphere. The inclusion of diverse textures in the photograph serves to accentuate the myriad shades of green, blue, and brown, adding depth to the composition. To further enhance the visual impact, I would suggest exploring different angles when capturing this scenery. Experimenting with various perspectives could reveal even crisper details in the water's color, emphasizing the harmonious relationship between the sky and the water.

I really enjoyed this photo, and it is definitely an aesthetically evaluative picture. The picture has so much life with so many different colors. Between the monochromatic colors scheme of the pool wall with all kinds of shades of blue as well including the plants in the background have my eyes wandering across the photo. Choosing to take the photo at the right time of day where the sunlight refracts against the waterfall and tiles definitely helped add to the aesthetic of the photo. A suggestion I would make would be to play around with the angle and time of day when taking this photo was taken to see how else the sunlight interacting with the tiles and…

This is certainly an aesthetically evaluative picture! It is quite beautiful between the natural flow of the water and the reflection of the bright colored tiles of the pool wall. There is great contrast as well in the background with the green colors of nature as well as the plants on either sides. You can almost hear this photograph of the waterfall splashing against the water. I think this is a great photograph.

This is a good example of an aesthetically evaluative picture! The combination of the colors behind the water fall, along with the flow of the water has an almost peaceful or tranquil feeling to it, where you can almost hear the water flowing into the pool below. Light is also another element of this picture that helps illuminate the colorful tiles, and gives the picture a warmer atmosphere. My eye is drawn to the waterfall first, but then that draws my attention to the plants around, the glass surrounding them, and the fenced greenery beyond. One suggestion would be taking the picture directly in front of the waterfall. That way there could be a more symmetrical element to…
